Questions like “Will a course on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Duna Tower location be started, because if so, then I will apply?” are sometimes asked. The reason why we cannot provide a clear answer to such a question is that the groups are only formed after the application deadline from the students who applied to attend the business English course. The finalising of this application consists of 4 important steps:

1. Completing the application form – finding out about student preferences.
2. Completing the written placement test.
3. Conducting the verbal interviews via telephone (also possible via Skype or in person) with one of our teachers.
4. Transferring the course fee (if a course suitable for you is not started, we refund the full amount within 10-15 working days).

We then form the groups from the applicants who completed all these steps, in accordance with their levels, as well as their preferences in terms of locations and times. We provide detailed information to all applications on the formation of the groups within 1 to 3 days after the application deadline.

The teachers provide the course materials as necessary, and you do not need to purchase any other materials: it is enough to bring a pen and a notepad to the classes. Whenever extra materials are used, these are provided by the teachers in photocopies, but since the “Communication Doping” course is fundamentally a speaking-centred English course, we do not really use books during the course. Having said that, you can always ask you teacher for advice on buying course books and for additional tasks from these.

For example, in case of a course meeting on Mondays and Wednesdays, where one session lasts 90 minutes, you can miss 4 sessions in such a way that the price of these sessions is deducted from the fee of a subsequent English course. The time-proportionate fee for a 90-minute session is HUF 5,625, which means that you can deduct the price of missed classes up the amount of HUF 22,500 from the fee to be paid for your next language course, which should be indicated on your application form.

In such cases, we try to be as flexible as possible, and if there are still spots available in a group at the level where the student would like to study (at the given location and time), then we are happy to comply with such a request.

We only ask one thing from our students: if they would like to have something differently, let us know in time, and we are glad to help and make adjustments in order to satisfy their needs as far as possible.

In such cases, we reduce the course fee in proportion to the sessions already taught, thus settling the difference. After this 3-week period, however, you can only apply for the courses in the next term, in order to ensure the undisturbed learning process of the students with their native speaker teacher.

During the 3-week period, students who applied in time also have an opportunity to switch to another group in case they feel that the level of their group is too difficult or too easy, but we also had cases where it turned out that a different location would be more suitable.
